History of the Annville United Christian Church
The 1889 Annual Conference of the United Christian Church took action to build a house of worship in Annville. The cost of the land and building was $1742.02
In the early 1900’s it was common for baptism by immersion to be administered in the Quittapahilla Creek at the west end of Annville. Two of the most outstanding revivals were those in 1900 and 1930. The latter one lasted many weeks with 41 converts.
In 1948 the church was remodeled with new pews and an addition on the east side of the church for Sunday School rooms. In 1976 the basement was enlarged and the sanctuary was redecorated. Six men have been called into the ministry while attending the Annville church.
In 2013 the church was completely remodeled along with a 42’ addition to the north which provided additional basement, a completely new roof, an inclinator and a spacious lobby area on the first floor.
