Youth Coordinator Job Description
Retain the current and future youth of our churches by expanding the youth outreach and ministering opportunities beyond our current abilities, and create friendships within the youth scattered across the United Christian Churches.
The Youth Coordinator responsibilities will change and grow as the needs of the church’s young people change and grow in the future. The current Youth Coordinator responsibilities are, but not limited to:
-Lead/Direct the UC Youth Group TLC (Teens Living for Christ) which is held on every Friday night (except the first Friday of each month) beginning in September and ending in May.
-Lead/Direct the TLC Youth Retreat-One over Summer and one over Winter
-Lead/Direct at least one youth trip during the year (i.e. Mission trip, camp outing, etc.)
-Meet/Gather with youth teachers/leaders of the individual UC Churches twice per year. This is so all of the teachers/leaders of the youth can coordinate youth activities and discuss methods on how to better serve/teach/lead the youth.
-Disciple young adults as they graduate from TLC
–Conduct an annual Youth Coordinator evaluation survey at the end of TLC (May). This survey would be created by the Youth Coordinator, approved by the Youth Board, administered to the youth, and then reviewed by the Youth Board in order to promote communication and feedback for future planning.
-Conduct an annual informal survey at the beginning of TLC (September) to gather feedback on what the students would like to see during the upcoming year.
-Administrate the Campmeeting Youth Class each year.
-Give a report each year at the United Christian Annual Conference.
-Visit the United Christian Churches throughout the year.
-The Youth Coordinator will work closely with and under the direct supervision of the UC Youth Board. The Youth Coordinator will give a report quarterly to the Youth Board of past and future youth/young adult activities.
