JOB TITLE: Youth Pastor
Report to: Senior Pastor
Position: Full time, Salary
JOB STATEMENT
The Youth Pastor will disciple young people, build relationships, and develop programs that help them
grow in their faith, relationships, and service to the church and community. They will also actively
participate in other areas of the church.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
1. Provide the youth with leadership training, discipleship and opportunities serve and grow a
relationship with Jesus Christ.
2. Spend time daily in prayer and studying The Word.
3. Preach and teach Biblical doctrine.
4. Lead the Youth Ministry and help with other special services or events throughout the year.
5. Be a model in prayer and encourage others.
6. Complete annual personal continuing education and networking with other pastors and or
ministerial associations with the goal of personal growth.
7. Cultivate relationships within the community, seeking ministry and service opportunities.
8. Attend social events related to attending youth and actively participate in the church body.
JOB SPECIFICATIONS
1. Proven experience in Youth Ministry.
2. Live a life in agreement with 1 Timothy 3.
3. Must demonstrate honesty and integrity.
4. Maintain faithfulness in carrying out his duties.
5. Be accountable to those he serves.
6. Ability to communicate ideas clearly in both written and oral format.
7. Ability to engage, interact with and understand members. Excellent listening skills.
8. Ability to plan and organize one’s own activities.
9. Knowledge and use of Microsoft Office Suite or office 365 products.
